Ben Turnbull returns to his hometown of Great Yarmouth after university, only to discover his ex-girlfriend Lucy has moved on and his parents have destroyed his bedroom.

Ben gets a job at his local pub — unfortunately, it's an unpaid graduate scheme. With his new status will he be able to win back Lucy's heart?

Beth tries to improve her chugging performance with a bit of flirtation but finds she's playing with fire. Meanwhile, Ben is accused of sexual harassment... by a man.

Beth's new man, Sandy, is an environmental activist who the gang haven't taken to. Things escalate when Eggman gets a job at the new local supermarket, to Sandy's utter disgust.

To earn a bit of cash, Ben volunteers for medical testing. Meanwhile, Eggman's band, Subcontractor, have a gig that he's convinced will be their big break.

Ben finally gets promoted at the pub — he's going to manage the monthly bring-and-buy sale. But is Great Yarmouth ready for his bohemian vision?

Beth wins 'Chugger of the Year' and invites Ben to the awards ceremony in glittering Norwich. Unfortunately, Ben finally has a shot at a date with Lucy on the same night...
