Suddenly orphaned by the loss of her single father, 11-year-old Harper is sent to live with her alcoholic aunt on a dilapidated family farm. Just as she begins to settle into her tumultuous new home, her life is torn asunder once again when her wealthy socialite mother who abandoned her at birth reappears to claim Harper for her own, selfish reasons.
