The story of the Shalimov family: Yuri, a prominent businessman and government official; his wife, Lyudmila; their son, Dmitry; and their daughter, Tatiana. Years ago, Dmitry’s parents prevented him from marrying Yulia, a girl from the provinces, because they had chosen Olga Gladysheva, the daughter of their friends and business partners, to be his wife.
