A young, bachelor singer, moves to the city in search of a job and place to live. He has to lie that he is married, to get a house for rent. He gets the photo of an anonymous beautiful young woman from a photo studio, to prove to his landlady he has a wife. Trouble starts when the girl in the picture, appears at his doorstep, and claims to be married to him, and wants to live with him. Who is the girl and how the hero tries to get rid of her, is the rest of the story
