Rio Window

Rio Window tells the story of a Brazilian heroine: an 80-year-old Black woman who refused to accept the reality unfolding outside her apartment window in Copacabana. In 2003, she bought a camera to record and expose the activities of organized crime and police corruption. The videotapes reached reporter Fábio Gusmão, who helped Dona Vitória enter the witness protection program and trigger an investigation that led to the arrest of 48 criminals, including nine police officers. Her real name and face were kept secret for 17 years.
