The Year of the Rat
DirectorsMarcelo Ferreira, Daniel Monjardim
“Can you face the darkness?”
Cícero is an actor facing the loneliness and uncertainty of social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Confined to his home, his routine begins to turn into a nightmare when he notices disturbing changes in his own body. Gradually, Cícero finds himself transforming into a giant, monstrous rat. Caught between the horror of his transformation and his deteriorating perception of reality, he begins to question his own sanity, no longer able to distinguish what is real from what may be a product of his mind.
