Karima is a young Moroccan woman who runs away from her father's home after he forces her to marry a man she doesn't want. When she arrives in the city looking for somewhere to live, she discovers that the available accommodation is shared with a man. Unable to rent the place as a woman, Karima comes up with an unusual solution: she disguises herself as a man so she can get the room. What begins as a desperate attempt to gain independence gradually turns into a series of comedic and romantic complications as she tries to maintain her disguise while dealing with her new living situation and her father's attempts to find her.
