An evening dress, a St. Petersburg attic, summer, alcohol, and a chance encounter with a handsome guy – what else do you need to have a wonderful evening? The main thing is that it shouldn’t be the last one. Margot is only twenty‑three, but she already has a great plan: to come to St. Petersburg and jump off the roof before life itself throws some kind of trouble at her. After all, it’s better to go out young, healthy, and drunk, without waiting for World War III, the depletion of the world’s oil reserves, or a brick falling from the roof at the whim of a treacherous fate. However, fate seems to have something entirely different in store for her. Life, just as Margo feared, is indeed full of surprises, and not all of them are terrible.
