Zahir, a writer seeking tranquility in a fishing village, becomes trapped in a story filled with slander, affection and sacrifice when a special child, Akil, is accused of attempting to rape Orked, the girl closest to him. Orked falls into a coma as a result of the incident, which leads Halim, a young villager whose love for Orked is unrequited, to spread lies. Halim accuses Akil of being responsible for everything. Meanwhile, Akil's father, Pak Soh, who deeply loves Akil, struggles to prove that his son is innocent. The series of tragedies that befall the family not only shakes the entire village, but ultimately opens Zahir's eyes to the true meaning of love, so that the story he creates becomes a mirror to his own life.
