Antuérpia is a 70 year-old woman who lives in the neighborhood of Penha, in Rio de Janeiro's north zone, with her husband Inácio. For decades, she carries a secret within her. Now, however, she must go through a high-risk surgery. The fear of death and of the truth being revealed are manifested through memories of her adolescence, in the city of Nova Iguaçu, Baixada Fluminense. Seeking for Cesario, her first boyfriend, she returns to a place unseen to her eyes for many decades, from which her only vivid memories are the scent of the orange trees.
