

A feature-length film based on the play “A Dog’s Memory” by scriptwriter and Hoshino’s mentor Takahashi Tatsuo [高橋辰雄]. This film depicts the wandering journey of two women who came to Tokyo from Hiroshima but found themselves with nowhere to go. And, the story later leads to the sequel, “There Are Bats Here Too” [ここにもコーモリ] (1987), and its spin-off, “Shinako on the back” [背中でしな子] (1989).
