
Marina's life changes when she is arranged to marry a young man chosen by her parents, Amran. In reality, Amran is a drug dealer. Marina is forced by Amran to be involved and eventually she is arrested by the police. Amran dies after being shot by the police. Through the dark side of prison, Marina is confirmed to be pregnant. Emotional disturbance afflicts Marina and eventually Maryam is born. In accordance with prison regulations, Maryam is separated from Marina when she turns 3 years old. Maryam is raised by Marina's parents, Pak Hamdan and Mak Jah. They are only brought together across a glass mirror each time they visit Marina in prison. The day of Marina's release arrives. She comes home and finds Maryam's entire body on the bed waiting for her return. Maryam dies on the same day Marina is released. However, her wish to kiss her child's forehead is fulfilled before Maryam departs forever.
