Ottoman occupied Serbia, 1804. Young general Petar Petrović Karađorđe is given the task of leading a small-scale revolt against the Turkish occupiers, knowing full-well that this might end up being the mission that will lead him to his doom, forcing him to fight on two battlefields. The battlefield of the body on the front and the battlefield of the soul on the inside. However, neither him nor his troops nor even his enemies suspect that this event signifies the birth of modern Serbia.
