Satuco, Don Pancho's son, finds a dead hand. Don Pancho is having nightmares and goes to the governor, the police, and the priest, worried because more human remains are turning up; but no one listens to him. Meanwhile, the nakaq roams the area killing people, and an abusive landowner also wanders about whipping the farmhands he finds, accusing them of being idle; until the nakaq and the landowner meet and fight. In the middle of the fight, a farmhand appears, who initially helps the landowner, but then, after being insulted by the landowner, kills him.
