
It recounts the last execution carried out by the state in Cajamarca. The Udilberto of the title was accused of the rape and subsequent murder of a minor in the town of Chota. He was sentenced to 25 years, but after his defense appealed, General Juan Velasco Alvarado ordered his execution on September 11, 1970. Thirty-six years after his death, Udilberto Vásquez is considered the most famous folk saint of Cajamarca.
