The 2001 crisis. Esteban's video store is going under, just like the country itself. Even so, he refuses to stock pornographic films, even though he knows full well that it's the only kind of material being rented these days. His unspoken love for Verónica (a customer with a romantic taste in movies, with whom he also shares similar moral values) keeps him afloat in the monotonous and hopeless life that's suffocating him. But when morality and necessity collide head-on with reality, his convictions waver, and everything around him is no longer what it seems.
