A story of queer seniors in Spain who, after years of repression, find a safe haven in a community centre in Madrid. During Franco’s dictatorship, thousands of people were imprisoned simply for who they were and whom they loved. Today, they can finally reclaim their dignity, their voice, and a sense of community. We meet Monica, a determined trans activist, Lorenza, who discovered her lesbian identity after turning sixty and survivors of camps for homosexual prisoners. Their stories intertwine with the fight to establish the first public care home for LGBT+ people. This is a film full of tenderness, courage and queer joy: a story of how what once had to remain hidden can now be celebrated openly in the full light of day.
