Trinke Preetzen was one of the last victims of the witch craze in 1676, burned at the stake in Kiel after her stepdaughter Anje accused her of witchcraft. In his "illustrated radio play," director Gerald Koll explores the question of what drove Anje to commit this act. Through copperplate engravings, paintings, file notes, and family and city records, he brings the then 13-year-old back to life. Actress Katja Hensel lends her voice to Anja and all the other speaking roles.
