
The first concert of the Balkan Philharmonic was held in June 2000 in Skopje. This event metaphorically reunited the Balkan countries. This event was the inspiration and motivation for the making of “Joy of Life”. But the film goes much deeper, through the personal intimate stories of several musicians, representing the environment, painting a picture of the Balkans.
