Véronique Richepois, a dynamic woman in her fifties, is a woman who would give God alms without confession. A model bank employee, an exemplary wife, married to an agricultural engineer with whom she has two children, a 21-year-old eldest daughter, who is soon to be married, and a 15-year-old teenager. But Véronique has a dual personality. She gets her clients to take out life insurance policies and arranges for power of attorney over the accounts, which grants her the comfort she dreamed of.
