
Set in the wake of the July 7th Incident in 1937, the film captures the nationwide surge of resistance against the Japanese invasion. The town of Sanyuan in northern Weihe becomes a key gathering point for anti-Japanese armed forces. Inspired by real historical merchants from Sanyuan, the story follows figures like Yuan Xihe, who embody the grief and patriotism of the local people. They send their sons to the battlefield and sacrifice their fortunes to support the resistance. Under the leadership of the Communist Party, the people of Sanyuan stand united in the national struggle, embodying resilience, sacrifice, and courage in the face of national crisis.
