In the 1940's, Japanese soldiers invaded Ningbo, China, destroyed the Chinese school system and set up their own. A young man who grew up in Ningbo did not think that was right, and decided to take matters into his own hands. This is the true story of Sin-Tzu Weng's heroism, his imprisonment and the eventual escape that brings him to America with nothing but his hopes and dreams. Here, Weng is met with new challenges, but along the way, a radio and a waltz give him hope and the strength to persevere. Never Fade Away shines a light on the power of the immigrant experience as well as the healing power of music. Never Fade Away is a story told through narration, music and dance.
