A youth lyrical comedy about a young Muscovite who, returning home from the army, meets various people along the way and finds himself in a variety of situations: from the deadly to the hilariously funny. The viewer is presented with a series of portraits of contemporaries whose aspirations and hopes don't always lead to the desired results. This is the film's main philosophical message.
