Anna celebrates her sixth birthday and, as a present, she wants a pet. She chooses Moss, a puppy who has already been abandoned 3 times. Anna falls in love at first sight and promises never to abandon him, but war breaks out and a big explosion separates their lifes. Moss becomes a street dog. He joins a curious gang of stray dogs: Spicy, Alley, Trains and Mint. With them, after some adventures, he arrives at a prison camp. There he meets Lucas, Anna's former teacher. Meanwhile, Anna loses her parents, lives in an orphanage and loses her ability to talk due to a trauma. At the end of the war, Moss and Lucas look for Anna. When they finally find her, Anna recovers her speech and her happiness.
