Deep in the heat of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, aspiring filmmaker/ lucrative pawn shop proprietor/ nefarious gemstone trader J.C. Laureen and his band of cohorts, aided by legit independent powerhouse, Glitter World Productions, stand deep in pre-production of J.C.'s feature film debut, One Hundred Dollar Deal. The action follows the dynamics and heartbreak of the movie making process while meandering and negotiating the wealth, color and desperate underbelly that is day-to-day L.A. life. It's pretty much sparkle and shine “business as usual” until a dusty, almost forgotten LAPD cold case homicide begins to surface and show its gritty teeth. Even under skies so blue, once the dice have left your hand, you have to roll with the numbers
