Mary is a nightclub hostess who falls for a married man, John, on her first day at work. Despite knowing his situation, she becomes his mistress and later gets pregnant in a desperate attempt to keep him. However, John rejects her, forcing Mary to undergo an abortion. Heartbroken and disillusioned, she vows to focus only on money. Her next benefactor, Peter, is wealthy but abusive, treating her cruelly and sharing her with his friends. Just as she loses faith in love, she crosses paths with Paul in a parking lot, an encounter that rekindles her hope for a better future.
