

A modern couple stumbled upon a pair of old shoes at home. The shoes looked like cultural relics but were well preserved. The stark contrast between the old and the new made two young people curiously search for the story behind it. The film flashbacks to the 1930s and 1940s: Grandpa Long Hao and grandma Bai He fell in love with each other when they were young. They were separated due to the outbreak of the Japanese War. During the war, they used their own methods to fight against foreign aggression. Although life and death have been separated for several times, the two finally came together because of their common ideals and beliefs and unwavering love.
