Since the games are known to be difficult, the box set includes strategy guides in DVDs and booklets with extra information. A reissue of this compilation called CAVE Shooting Collection Kan was released with one new game, Dodonpachi Sai-Dai-Ou-Jou. Because they were ported and published by other companies, Ketsui and Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou were not included.
