Review Body on Senior Salaries
Great Britain: Review Body on Senior Salaries, Michael Perry
The annual review contains recommendations for the pay arrangements of senior civil servants (SCS), senior military officers and the judiciary. New pay systems are being introduced for the SCS and the armed forces from April 2002 which aim to provide a stronger link between performance and reward, whilst a fundamental review of judicial salaries has now been completed. Recommendations include: 1) an uprating by 2.5 per cent for SCS staff, with a range of individual performance awards upto 10 per cent; 2) an uprating of 2.5 per cent for senior military officers; and 3) the retention of the existing pay system of salary groups for the judiciary, with a pay increase of 5.4 per cent to take account of specific factors and an further annual uprating of 2.5 per cent
